DonateAPlate is a mobile-cloud platform aimed to fight the challenges of food wastage and food security through the effective use of technology. Our platform bridges the large food gap present in our world by connecting restaurants and supermarkets to NGOs and those who do not have a steady supply of food.

Through DonateAPlate, a donor can register and add a list of food items that wants to donate through the mobile app. NGO’s can request to pick up food from any donor that has listed the items via the mobile app, depending on proximity, points, and type/quantity of food. The donor can then accept the request and hand over the requested food to the person coming to pick it up.
